Paramount Pictures has released the new poster for the highly anticipated fright flick sequel Paranormal Activity 3. This third instalment in the popular franchise is set in 1988, back when the demon first came to find the character of Katie when she was a little girl. Today marked Day 3 of the shooting for Mr Roberts' Media class' stop-motion music videos. Filming took place on the oval, basketball courts, MPC and 9.2's room. Students were mostly on task and enjoying the filming process. We are closing in on the end of our production time for this term.

The newly built Adelaide Studios is having its open day this Sunday, September 18! This is the new headquarters for important corporations and organisations that help keep the South Australian film industry alive. This is now where the South Australian Film Corporation is located, as well at the offices of the Bigpond Adelaide Film Festival! These new facilities will be where part of Wolf Creek 2, the sequel to the cult classic film from 2005, will be filmed, as well as countless other films. The first film to be worked on there is the new movie from Adelaide filmmaker Rolf de Heer, who's next effort titled The King is Dead is being edited on the premises. Get along to the open day on Sunday and also get to check out screenings of classic Adelaide films Storm Boy and Napoleon! More info after the jump.
It has been confirmed that both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis will be joining Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables 2, which is due out next year! This time around it is not just cameo roles but instead substantial action roles. They join the already impressive cast of Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke and Jet Li. Quite the action smorgasbord! Source: JoBlo.com

A sad piece to start off the WikiSpace with...
Today pioneer San Franciscan independent filmmaker George Kuchar passed away at the age of 69. His unique guerrilla-style approach to filmmaking, embracing the idea of not having a budget, inspired countless filmmakers and his own works, from a back catalogue of more than 200 titles, such as Colour Me Shameless, I, an Actress and Blips will forever remain cult classics. Weeks of planning will finally pay off both this week and in Week 8 when Mr Roberts' Media class begins filming their stop-motion music videos! We have an array of songs being used by artists such as The Lonely Island, Wiz Khalifa and The Potbelleez. We're all excited to get our visions from the page to the screen!
